Richard Jose
Senior Programmer
Richard was born under a wandering star - it started over an English military camp (safer than a manger), headed north into Scotland (safer than a war zone) then hovered over England again before crossing the Atlantic (a large body of water). Many astrologists were puzzled. People who are unexcited by celestrial matters are probably more interested in the stars terrestrial counterpart. There are several recurring themes in Richard's life, of these only games and programming are directly relavant. Richard did a Computer Games Technology degree at the University of Abertay Dundee (because Computer Science sounded SO exciting, right up there with chemistry and physics), and absorbed a surprising amount, this placed him in good sted for when he worked at Criterion Games in Guildford (Burnout Revenge - xbox, ps2. Burnout 360, xbox 360). Of course racing games fundamentally suck (no sane person would disagree) so he was glad to throw caution to the wind and move to Big Huge Games. In terms of hobbies Richard enjoys playing classical piano (at a frightening speed), reading (at a frightening speed), eating (at a frightening speed), drinking (responsibly but with enthusiasm) and teaching kickboxing (slowly, because you never can be too careful with peoples faces).
As Richard is British he comes with nation powers and specialist knowledge specifically he can summon umbrellas, handerkerchiefs and strange foodstuffs as well as exhibit an encyclopedic knowledge of tea. Generally all of these things surprise the natives until they come to expect them. Though not as much as "English" Muffins and the dreaded "Cheese Food" surprised him.
