Operations Assistant / Receptionist
 The
staff at BHG usually would prohibit anyone through its
glass doors who describes running 26.2 miles as “a
party”, but given Monica’s previous profession
as a behavior therapist, the guys thought those skills
may be useful here and allowed her to enter the premises
anyway.
A graduate of Loyola College majoring in speech-language
pathology/audiology with a minor in Classical Greek and
Roman Civilization, Monica is a self-described “closet
nerd” and tends to reveal that persona when she
gives in-depth analytical reviews and philosophical interpretations
of that week’s Heroes or Lost episodes.
As one who prefers running through mud rather than slinging
it, Monica is an avid marathon runner who enjoys mentoring
those new to the insane marathon world. In what is left
of her spare time, she also practices Bikram yoga (done
in a 115-degree heated studio; again, her definition of
“fun” is questioned), is a DIY craftster,
enjoys cooking, reading, listening to music with a minimum
of 125 bpm’s, and anything that involves glitter.
