Mike Fridley
Senior Producer

After successfully completing a BA in American History at George Mason University, Mike was given the shortest book ever written: "Career Opportunities for a History Major." Not interested in a career as a historian and being afflicted with an unfortunate allergy to blackboards and chalk, he decided to do a bit of "career wandering."

Nothing seemed to stick until he saw an advertisement for QA positions at a local outsource house. He was addicted to working on games after that and there was no going back, no matter how bad the pay was.

After a couple of years learning how games were made, Mike moved to Bethesda Softworks in 2001 to set up their internal QA department. After that was completed, Mike grew a bit bored with the whole testing of games thing and wanted to be more actively involved in how they were made.

The only problem was that he had no real talent or training to create anything. Fortunately, he did have a clipboard, a cup of coffee, and knew how to schedule meetings. The job of a producer literally was made for him.

Mike was lead producer on several titles for Bethesda starting in 2004 until his departure for the promised land of Big Huge Games in October of 2007.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys standing next to a mountain and chopping it down with the edge of his hand as well as playing street hockey.
